5 Home Remedies for Dark Circles

Dark circles is the second most common discussed skin problem after Acne/Pimples. Skin around our eyes is very sensitive and it requires extra care. As we grow older - skin around our eyes becomes thinner making blood vessels more prominent and we all can notice the color difference between the area around our eyes and face - These are called dark circles.

In second home remedy we will use potato. Cut the potato into thick slices and place them in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Remove them and place them on the affected area for at least 10-15 minutes. Potato has natural bleaching properties, starch and vitamin C which will help to lighten the dark circles and remove the puffiness near the eyes. 

In third home remedy - we will use green tea. Soak a few green tea bags in water and rinse it in cool water and Keep the teabags in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Create an eye pack and place it on your eyes and leave it on for 10-15 minutes, Green tea contains anti oxidants and anti-irritant properties that help reduce swelling around your eyes. This is a very effective method to diminish dark circles around the eyes. 

In fourth home remedy we will use tomato and lemon juice. Take one teaspoon of tomato juice and mix it in one teaspoon of lemon juice Dip 2 cotton pads or balls in it and place it to your eye socket area for 10-15 minutes. Tomato and lemon both have Vitamin C and exhibits bleaching properties. Both have properties that will help clear the area around the eyes. 

In fifth home remedy we will use oil massage. Place few drops of almond oil on your fingers and gently massage it in, around your eyes. You can also use Vitamin E or coconut oil. Place few drops of almond oil on your fingers and gently massage it in, around your eyes. You need to do this every night before going to bed. Using almond oil regularly will improve the blood circulation and definitely lighten the skin around the eyes.
